You are BERUFen: Wiesbaden Action Week Empowers Youth with Work Experience
The 'You are BERUFen' project, a successful initiative benefiting both young people and companies, recently concluded its action week in Wiesbaden. Over 100 students participated, gaining insights into the working world and future prospects.
The project, which took place from September 25 to October 1, involved 77 students who were selected from 105 applicants. During the week, students worked in companies, learning about various training occupations and gaining practical experience. This year, 21 companies and institutions opened their doors, offering a diverse range of professions. The initiative aims to build self-confidence and provide future perspectives for young people, often leading to further opportunities such as internships or training positions. The closing event was held at the Wartburg and was led by two students, with the support of a theater educator and the Wiesbaden Kurier.
The 'You are BERUFen' action week has proven to be a successful collaboration between companies and school social work. It offers young people valuable insights into the working world and helps them make informed decisions about their future careers.
