Amanda Albini, a graduate from Novato High School in California (2014), has been selected for Yamaha Corporation of America's renowned percussion instruments internship program.
This prestigious opportunity takes place at Yamaha's headquarters in Buena Park, California, and Albini is eagerly anticipating the experiences and knowledge she will gain during her tenure.
Throughout her academic career, Albini demonstrated a passion for percussion that began during her high school years and continued through her time at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). At UCLA, Albini played the drums in several ensembles, including Jazz Orchestra, Latin Jazz Band, Ellingtonia Band, and Jazz Combos. She also played cymbals in the UCLA marching band.
During her last two years at UCLA, Albini served on the board of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band fraternity and service organization. This role further showcased her dedication to the musical arts.
Prior to UCLA, Albini honed her skills at the Marin School of the Arts, where she was involved in numerous ensembles. The Marin School of the Arts provided her with college-level arts training, setting a strong foundation for her future in music.
