WQU & Sazience Launch AI Academy for Africa's Next Gen

WorldQuant University (WQU) and Sazience Technology have joined forces to launch the Sazience & WorldQuant University Learning Academy. This initiative aims to cultivate Africa's next generation of AI and data science professionals. The academy, affecting 15 countries, is now accepting entries for the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026, celebrating excellence in global education technology.

The inaugural cohort of the academy comprises students from diverse STEM and engineering backgrounds, including biomedical engineering, embedded systems, computer science, and applied AI. The program is supported by international partners such as Qintess, demonstrating a global commitment to Africa's educational development.

Winners of the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026, open to organizations across the UK, the Americas, and internationally, will be announced on 14 January 2026. They will be featured in a print magazine at BETT 2026, showcasing their innovative learning solutions and AI integration. The awards focus on workforce development, reflecting the academy's mission to empower Africa's future leaders and solve real-world challenges.

The Sazience & WorldQuant University Learning Academy, affecting 15 African countries, is a testament to the power of collaboration in driving educational progress. By fostering AI and data science talent, the academy is poised to transform Africa's digital landscape, with the support of international partners and the recognition of the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026.
