Postdoctoral Research Associate Contributes to Arts and Culture Research at University of Sheffield
Dr Ruoxi Wang, a Postdoctoral Research Associate, is based at the Sheffield Methods Institute, University of Sheffield. In her role at Creative PEC, she focuses on projects within the Arts, Culture, and Heritage sectors.
Dr Wang obtained her PhD in Economics from Macquarie University, specializing in applied microeconomics. Her research interests delve into the economics of arts and culture, economic-cultural policy relationships, and the impact on well-being and cultural policy.
The consortium supporting these research projects includes several renowned academics. Among them are Josh Siepel, Associate Professor at the University of Sussex Business School, Lesley Giles, Director of Work Advance, Jonathan Sapsed, Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University Business School, Heather Carey, also Director of Work Advance, Sara Maioli, Reader in Economics at Newcastle University Business School, and Dave O'Brien, Professor of Cultural and Creative Industries at The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures.
Creative PEC is an independent research body offering policy recommendations for the UK's creative industries.
