Wiesbaden Marks International Day of the Girl with Empowering Action Day

Wiesbaden is set to host an action day for the International Day of the Girl on October 2nd. The event, organized by the Wiesbaden Girls' Working Group (MAK), will focus on 'Self-determination, Equal Opportunities, and Non-violence'. It will begin with a march at 3 PM on the Dern'schen Grounds and conclude with a party for girls at 7 PM at the Kulturpalast.

The action day will feature various workshops aimed at empowering and engaging girls and young women. These include a dance workshop to encourage self-expression, a Wendo self-defense course to promote safety and confidence, glitter tattoos for creative fun, and a photo booth to capture memorable moments. Alcohol-free cocktails will be mixed during the event, ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.

The march will start from the Dern'schen Grounds and end at the Kulturpalast in Saalgasse 36, where the workshops and the concluding party will take place. The International Day of the Girl, celebrated worldwide on October 11th, aims to raise awareness of the challenges girls face and promote their rights and opportunities.

The Wiesbaden Girls' Working Group has organized this action day to celebrate the International Day of the Girl and to highlight the importance of self-determination, equal opportunities, and non-violence for girls and young women. The event promises to be a fun and empowering experience, with a variety of workshops and activities designed to inspire and engage participants.
