Waunakee High School Boosts FAFSA Support for Early 2024 Applications
Waunakee High School has announced its support for students applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the upcoming school year. The U.S. Department of Education opened the FAFSA earlier than usual this year, with Waunakee's counseling team ready to assist students through the process.
Tim Schell, director of secondary curriculum and instruction at Waunakee High School, revealed that the school's counseling team offers tutorials, informational sessions, and one-on-one counseling sessions to help students navigate the FAFSA process. The FAFSA for the upcoming school year was officially opened by the U.S. Department of Education on October 1st, but this year, it opened ahead of schedule due to an announcement by the U.S. Department of Education.
Officials from the Universities of Wisconsin and school districts across the state are encouraging students and families to fill out the FAFSA for the next school year. Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman emphasized the importance of financial assistance in helping some students decide to attend higher education.
