VI AstauFest Wraps Up in Astana: International Culinary Exchange and Competition
The VI International Gastronomic Festival, AstauFest, has recently concluded in Astana. This annual event, held since 2019, is a significant part of the 'Year of Labor Professions' and drew over 300 participants from more than 40 educational institutions worldwide.
The festival, held in the fall of 2023, took place at the College of Public Catering and Service and three other locations in Astana. It aimed to exchange experiences with foreign partners, enhance the image of labor professions among youth, and strengthen cooperation between the business community and colleges.
AstauFest 2023 featured master classes, training sessions, and business meetings on its grounds. A confectionery academy was also presented during the event. Competitions were held in 15 categories, including 'Chef of the Year' and 'Pastry Chef of the Year', judged by an international jury headed by French chef Jean Ashner, holder of two Michelin stars.
AstauFest, the VI International Gastronomic Festival, has successfully concluded in Astana. The event provided a platform for international exchange, skill development, and recognition of culinary talents. It is expected to continue its role in promoting labor professions and strengthening cooperation in the industry.
