UZH Hosts International Conference on Media's Role in Tradition Transformation

The University of Zurich (UZH) is hosting a significant conference, 'Media, Modernity, and the Transformation of Tradition - The Role of Audiovisual Media from an International Perspective', from September 8 to 9, 2025. Led by Prof. Dr. Elke Kaschl and Dr. Andreas Stuhlmann, this event is the culmination of the project 'Claiming Folklore', funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

The 'Claiming Folklore' project, based at UZH, explores the politics and practices of folk music on Swiss television between the 1960s and 1990s.
