New Electives Offered for the Upcoming School Year

The new school year is set to begin on September 1st, and with it comes an exciting array of new electives for students to choose from. Among these new offerings are "Sports Acrobatics," "The World of Agriculture," and "Fundamentals of Quadcopter Operation."

Sports Acrobatics

The main goal of Sports Acrobatics is to strengthen students' health and teach them the basics of sports acrobatics. This elective will focus on the fundamentals of balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, and teamwork through partner and group maneuvers. Students will learn steps from dances like the Polish "Treszcze," "Lavonicha," "Kryzhačok," and the Italian "Tarantella." As students get older, the acrobatic exercises will become more complex, with seventh-graders learning to do a standing handstand split and 360° jumps.

The World of Agriculture

Students enrolled in The World of Agriculture will learn about modern professions in the agricultural sector and may choose to pursue a career in this field. This elective will introduce students to the main branches of agriculture (plant and animal husbandry, mechanization), and the specifics of their production processes.

Fundamentals of Quadcopter Operation

This new elective aims to encourage technical creativity among students. The course will focus on the basics of operating quadcopters (drones), emphasizing skills such as piloting, safety, maintenance, and potentially advanced applications like Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations. A significant portion of the classes will be held on a virtual simulator.

Quadcopter Mastery

Likely to be a more advanced version of the Fundamentals of Quadcopter Operation, this elective will provide hands-on training in operating quadcopters, emphasizing skills such as piloting, safety, maintenance, and potentially advanced applications like Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations. The course may include both theoretical knowledge and practical sessions to build proficiency in flight planning, control systems, and drone technology, possibly incorporating the basics of assembling or customizing drones.

The World of Agriculture
