Thousands Receive New Careers Following Courses Offered by the Akimat
Did you hear about the cool stuff happening in Astana, Kazakhstan? According to Astana's Mayor, Jenis Kasymbek, they're going all out on constructing some fantastic social institutions like schools, hospitals, sports centers, and cultural hubs. They're also backing open facilities. In a recent visit with Deputy Prime Minister, Ermek Kosherbaev, they checked out some spectacular social projects in the city.
One standout project is the launch of JOLTAP back in Fall 2023. JOLTAP empowers citizens to discover new vocations, kickstart their own businesses, land jobs, and get advice on government aid schemes, all for free!
As of now, approximately 13,000 people have completed their training! The program offers education in 11 trade skills (such as sewing, accounting, furniture production, coffee prep, shoe repair, digital design, and more) and 7 digital skills (SMM, website creation, video editing, graphic design, mobile photography, digital basics, and digital targeting).
The ambitious goal is to graduate 5,300 individuals in vocational fields and 2,700 in digital skills by 2025. Plus, the "JUMYSTAP" service platform bridges the gap between job seekers and employers, connecting them with major city networks and large employers.
Mayor Kasymbek stated that "JOLTAP" aligns with the guidance of the Head of State and is addition to existing employment measures. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Keep an eye on Astana's blossoming community projects!
Engaging in the educational and self-development opportunities offered by JOLTAP in Astana, citizens can enhance their learning through training in a variety of trades and digital skills, further strengthening the community. The ambitious goal is to graduate over 8,000 individuals in both vocational and digital fields by 2025, facilitating their integration into the workforce through the "JUMYSTAP" service platform.
