Get ready for a thrilling day of creativity with RTÉjr Radio and Muine Bheag Arts!

Mark your calendars for June 7, as Ireland celebrates Cruinniú na nÓg 2025, the nation's day of free creativity for kids and youngsters.

Muine Bheag Arts, a vibrant collective in Carlow, has collaborated with the students from St Brigid's NS, Muine Bheag, to create two mesmerizing radio plays. Over the past two years, they've led exciting workshops as part of Cruinniú na nÓg, guiding the kids to write compelling material, assume characters, generate foley sounds, and operate recording equipment.

Adventure Awaits in The Portal (2024)

Join the Murphy twins, Mince and Marmalade, alongside their pal Benice, as they journey through a mystical portal from Dublin to New York on a quest to safeguard Ireland from darkness. Tune in to RTÉjr Radio at 10am or 2pm on Saturday to experience this captivating adventure!

The Curse of Count Vlas (2025)

Embark on a chilling adventure with four plucky 6th graders as they save their town from the clutches of Count Vlas, a ruthless property developer who's placed an eerie curse on Grandad Noel's farm. Catch the play at 11am or 3pm.

Don't forget to tune in at 4pm to hear the creative team behind Count Vlas spin some tunes to commemorate Cruinniú na nÓg!

Let's Groove Together with DJ for a Day

Муine Bheag Arts, an artist-driven organization based in Carlow, engages with the local community to present projects in public spaces. Their diverse program includes exhibitions, workshops, events, residencies, publishing, and radio broadcasts. They embrace a collaborative, welcoming, and experimental approach, fostering dialogue between artists, audiences, and community.
