stc Bahrain Launches 'jeel ICT' Program to Empower 20 Graduates for ICT & FinTech

stc Bahrain has kicked off the second edition of its 'jeel ICT' program, selecting 20 Bahraini graduates to empower them with critical skills for the ICT and FinTech sectors. The program aligns with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and is expected to drive national talent growth. Over 1000 applications were received, with the top 20 graduates chosen after a rigorous evaluation process. Eng. Khalid Al Osaimi, CEO of stc Bahrain, highlighted the program's significance in contributing to Bahrain's digital economy. The 12-month internship includes advanced ICT training, psychometric assessments, and dedicated mentorship, totaling over 10,000 development hours, with over 6,000 hours dedicated to Coaching and Mentoring (C&M). The 'jeel ICT' program is a collaborative effort between stc Bahrain and leading government and educational partners, including the Ministry of Labour and Tamkeen. HE. Maha Abdulhamid Mufeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, endorsed the program for enhancing training and employment opportunities for Bahraini talents. The initiative directly contributes to the government's Digital Transformation vision, positioning the Telecom Sector as crucial in building a future-ready, highly skilled local workforce. The 'jeel ICT' program, a 100% nationalized talent development initiative, is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Tamkeen, and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). With the launch of the second edition, stc Bahrain continues to invest in Bahraini youth, fostering a skilled workforce for the ICT and FinTech sectors.
