The online registration portal for scheduling appointments was reopened on July 19, 2025. Appointments can be made through the portal hosted at https://telegov.egov.com/KSP. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age to participate, as per state law.
It is important to note that any appointments made using false information or multiple entries under the same name will be automatically canceled.

The appointments will be available between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on August 2. The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is administering the state driver testing for this event. The one-day event does not include road skills or CDL testing; it is only for written permit tests.
Governor Beshear encourages eligible Kentuckians to take advantage of this statewide event on Aug. 2 to sign up and study beforehand. He stated that this event is another way to protect roads and communities by ensuring new drivers can safely drive independently.
