State-backed agricultural enterprises in Kamchatka to receive assistance in employee education and skill development.

Kamchatka Krai, a region known for its rich agricultural potential, has initiated the federal project **"Kadry in APK"** to bolster the workforce in the agricultural sector. This project is part of broader state programs aimed at developing agriculture and rural territories across Russia.

The **"Kadry in APK"** project, translated as "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex," focuses on training and retraining qualified specialists for the agricultural sector, enhancing the availability of skilled workforce in farming, livestock, food processing, and agro-technology, and supporting rural employment.

The project offers financial assistance to individuals and organizations involved in agricultural education and training. This aid is particularly targeted at students pursuing agricultural specialties, agricultural enterprises, and training providers.

For students and trainees, the project provides scholarships and financial aid to cover tuition fees, living expenses, or both. A special focus is given to young professionals and students from rural areas, as well as those who commit to working in Kamchatka’s agro-industrial sector after graduation.

Agricultural enterprises and training providers can benefit from grants or reimbursement programs to cover the cost of employee retraining or upskilling, support for organizing professional internships, workshops, and advanced training courses, and funding for partnership programs between educational institutions and agricultural businesses.

The project also offers financial bonuses or subsidies for young specialists who accept jobs in the agricultural sector within Kamchatka Krai, as well as programs to reduce the relocation costs or provide social support for specialists moving to rural areas to work in agriculture.

The project's impact includes increased workforce quality, rural development, and agricultural innovation. By financially enabling education and skill development, the region can sustain a qualified workforce, encourage young professionals to stay in or move to rural Kamchatka, and boost efficiency and output through trained specialists.

The selection process for financial assistance for specialist training in Kamchatka Krai is currently accepting applications from regional APK enterprises until June 25, 2025. Eligible beneficiaries include individual entrepreneurs and organizations operating in rural territories.

The funding is available for main professional training programs and retraining programs in various areas, including Agriculture, Aquaculture and fisheries, Food industry (including beverage and tobacco production), Forestry and hunting, and Light and textile industry.
