School's Musicians Break Through Spotify with More Than Half a Million Streams!
Leah Haworth, a student at Recordings (PBR), has surpassed 300,000 streams on Spotify for her EP "Here in the Stars." This achievement follows the success of her first single, "To The Moon and Back," which has amassed over 100,000 streams. Haworth's music, which balances simplicity with depth, reflects a personal journey from adolescence to adulthood.
Meanwhile, Sam The Zoologist, a recent graduate of Recordings (PBR)'s BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering degree, has also made waves on Spotify. Sam's EP "The Best You'll Ever Have" has surpassed 100,000 streams. His music blends nostalgic sounds with modern tales of love, a testament to his unique style.
One of Sam's tracks secured the No. 1 spot in the UK (and No. 3 globally) on the SubmitHub Indie/Alternative charts, further cementing his rising popularity. In the past year, Sam has released three singles, keeping his fans eager for more.
Dry Bones, a London-based reggae outfit from Recordings (PBR), has also hit 100,000 streams on Spotify with their debut album "Babylon Prophecy." The album, infused with authentic roots vibes, is a collaboration with reggae legends like Dennis Bovell, Carroll Thompson, and Phil Ramocon. Dry Bones' success is a celebration of true musicianship and highlights Recordings (PBR) as a school run by musicians, for musicians. The outfit has also released a dub companion album, "Babylon Prophecy In Dub."
Recordings (PBR), based in London, LA, Ibiza, and online, offers degrees and short courses in music production and vocal performance. The school provides students and alumni a chance to experience life as recording artists and hosts an exclusive networking night for students to connect with industry professionals. With its in-house record label, Recordings (PBR) is the only London music school with this unique opportunity.
Carroll Thompson and Phil Ramocon teach on the BA (Hons) Music Production & Vocal Performance degree at Recordings (PBR), lending their extensive industry experience to the next generation of musicians. With such a supportive environment and opportunities for growth, it's no wonder that Recordings (PBR) students and alumni are making their mark on the music industry.
