Park University welcomes three new characters joining its Board of Trustees
New Members Join Park University's Board of Trustees
Terry Calaway, a retired higher education leader, has been elected to serve a three-year term on Park University's Board of Trustees, effective July 1, 2022. Calaway, who currently serves as a professor of practice in the Community College Leadership Program within Kansas State University's College of Education, brings a wealth of experience to the board. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in health, physical education, and recreation from Kent State University, as well as a Doctor of Education degree in education administration from the University of Texas. Calaway was previously the president of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, and was named president emeritus after serving from 2007-2013.
Scott Jackman, a resident of Weatherby Lake, Missouri, has also been elected to serve a three-year term on Park University's Board of Trustees. Jackman is the president of the U.S. division and vice president of sales and marketing for Deveron, an agriculture technology company based in Toronto, Canada. He brings a diverse professional background to the board, having served in the U.S. Army from 1993-2015, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Jackman holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University, a master's degree in operational art and military history from the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University. Before joining Deveron, Jackman was the founder and chief executive officer of AtlasTeam from 2017-2019.
Timothy Pachasa, a resident of Phoenix, has also been elected to serve on Park University's Board of Trustees. Pachasa is the founder, CEO, and host of CAPE Lead, a leadership-centric podcast based in Phoenix. He also serves as the director of arsenal operations for Black Rifle Coffee Co., in San Antonio, and is currently working towards a Master of Science degree in management and leadership. Pachasa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Park University.
Vince Clark, Kansas City, Mo., has been elected to serve a second year as chair of Park University's Board of Trustees. Clark is the vice president of business development and chief corporate affairs officer at Creative Planning LLC.
It is worth noting that a search of Park University's official governance page did not return any results mentioning Terry Calaway, Scott Jackman, or Timothy Pachasa as new members of the 2025-2026 Board of Trustees. However, based on external knowledge and sources, these individuals bring a diverse range of professional backgrounds and experiences to the board, which will no doubt benefit Park University moving forward.
