Park University Arranges for Peacebuilding Workshop

Johnson County (Kan.) Community College's adjunct instructor of journalism and media communications, Susan Dawson-O'Brien, will present on misinformed students in academia as part of the upcoming event "Combating Misinformation: Tools and Techniques."

This event, hosted by Park University and its Center for Global Peace Journalism (CGPJ), will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the McCoy Meetin' House on the University's flagship Parkville Campus.

The program will feature a trio of speakers discussing misinformation and disinformation, including Derek Donovan, community engagement editor at The Kansas City Star, and Steven Youngblood, founding director of the CGPJ and associate professor of communication arts at Park University.
