Minister Olschowski has demanded that the interim solution be smaller and more affordable, with potential savings being explored in areas such as offices, dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms, logistics areas, and "standards." Experts are also working tirelessly to find ways to speed up the construction process, given the current timeline's extreme ambition.

The temporary venue is planned to operate for approximately ten years while the opera house undergoes renovation. ProWST, responsible for constructing the temporary venue, took over from the city in the summer of 2024, and the schedule for constructing the interim venue has been adjusted, with construction now set to begin in 2028 and be completed in 2032.
