Responsibilities

As a Network Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and initiating projects to fix and grow the NCN across Scotland. This includes populating the project pipeline, managing projects through feasibility stages, liaising with local authorities on design proposals, and handling network queries from the public and interest groups.

Your role will require effective negotiation, advocacy, project management skills, and experience in transport planning or related fields. You'll also need to be skilled at researching and producing reports, coordinating activities with the wider NCN team and across the organization, and dealing with network queries from councils, the public, and interest groups.

The Role

The role involves determining projects for investment, managing them through the feasibility stage, and liaising with local authorities and other partners to agree on design proposals. You'll be required to travel and work at locations across Scotland as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of the website.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this full-time role based in Edinburgh or Glasgow is approximately £32,145 per year. Sustrans offers a Group Personal Pension scheme with a 6% or 7% of basic salary contribution being matched. The organization also provides enhanced maternity and paternity pay and 28 days leave per annum plus bank holidays for full-time working.
