Mühlheim's First Training Fair a Huge Success, Connecting 300 Students with 17 Companies
Mühlheim's first training fair, held on September 10, 2024, was a resounding success. Over 300 students and 17 companies took part in the event, which aimed to tackle the local skills shortage by connecting young talent with apprenticeship opportunities.
The fair, organized by Mühlheim's economic development agency, attracted students from Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium, Friedrich-Ebert-Schule, and Montessori-Schule Mühlheim. It featured numerous regional companies from sectors like crafts, technology, health, trade, and administration, showcasing their apprenticeship programs. Regular attendees included HAUS DER UNTERNEHMER GmbH.
Participants praised the event for providing insights into employers' expectations and requirements, and facilitating meetings between companies and potential future applicants. Christian Scheeff, co-initiator and city marketing director, reported overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, teachers, and companies. Olaf Burmeister-Salg, Mühlheim's economic development officer, was also satisfied with the outcome.
