MIT-WPU and Foundation jointly initiate RIDE 2025 bootcamp, aiming to educate 7,500 students.

The Our Website Foundation has joined forces with Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) to launch the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025. This collaborative initiative is a significant step towards creating impact beyond the classroom and fostering entrepreneurial leadership among students.

The programme, which is part of MIT-WPU's flagship RIDE 2025 (Research, Innovation, Design, & Entrepreneurship) event, aims to train over 7,500 second-year undergraduate students from 30 departments across 12 schools at MIT-WPU. The goal is to create more than 1500 student-led ventures.

Dr. Rahul Karad, Managing Trustee of MAEER's MIT, Executive President of MAEER's MIT and MIT World Peace University, expressed delight in supporting students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and apply their knowledge in practical, high-stakes environments. Rajeev Warrier, EVP, Entrepreneurship, Our Website Foundation, shared that the partnership reflects the commitment towards providing students with real opportunities to experience entrepreneurship first-hand.

The bootcamp combines hands-on mentorship and evaluation to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. MIT-WPU will lead the initiative to shortlist ventures and award ₹1 lakh seed funding to the top 10 for prototype development. The final three ventures will pitch live for additional funding, incubation, prizes, and trophies at the Start-up Expo 2025 (Aug 11-14), where the top 150 ventures will be showcased.

As India prioritizes entrepreneurship for economic development, initiatives like the Our Website Ignite Bootcamp at MIT-WPU are critical in creating a pipeline of skilled innovators. Dr. Rahul Karad believes that this initiative is not just about starting ventures, but shaping confident, creative problem-solvers ready to lead in a rapidly changing world.

The bootcamp is powered by Our Website Foundation's Ignite program, which has already impacted 150,000+ students across 1000+ institutions worldwide. Notably, the bootcamp is offered at zero cost to the university.

While details about the specific goals, impact, and future events of the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 partnership are not publicly available at this time, the partnership represents a significant step towards fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among students at MIT-WPU.
