Marvell Expands in Vietnam, Makes it Third-Largest R&D Hub

Marvell Technology Inc. has expanded its presence in Vietnam, opening three new offices and making the country its third-largest R&D hub. The company now employs over 500 engineers in Vietnam, contributing to advanced semiconductor projects.

Marvell Vietnam, established in 2013 with just five engineers, has grown significantly. It is now led by General Director Le Quang Dam. The new offices, inaugurated on September 30, 2025, are located in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, with the largest being Etown 6, featuring a state-of-the-art laboratory for semiconductor chip testing.

Vietnamese engineers are working on cutting-edge projects such as the Marvell® Alaska® A 800G PAM4 DSP Active Electrical Cable (AEC) and the Alaska P PCIe Gen6 Retimer. They are also involved in the development of the high-speed Nova 1.6 Tbps PAM4 DSP. Marvell aims to foster a strong team of local engineers capable of driving technological breakthroughs.

To increase female representation, Marvell is partnering with universities and government agencies. The company offers scholarships, internships, and technical seminars to encourage more women to join the field of semiconductor technology.
