List of Black Women in STEM Fields Achieving Forbes' Over 50 Honorees in 2025
In the realm of business and healthcare, a group of accomplished women are leaving indelible marks, proving that age is just a number when it comes to making an impact. Among these trailblazers are Alicia Boler Davis and Racquel Oden, who recently made the Forbes 50 Over 50 list in 2024.
Alicia Boler Davis, an engineer and executive, made history as the first Black woman to serve as a plant manager at General Motors. She later rose through the ranks to become CEO of Alto, a digital pharmacy, before taking on the role of president at Ford Pro, the commercial fleet division of the automaker.
Prior to her tenure at Alto, Boler Davis spent time at Amazon, where she was a senior executive overseeing global fulfillment during the COVID-19 pandemic and was part of the exclusive "S-Team" leadership circle. Her impressive career also includes a stint at the tech giant, Google, where she served as Vice President of Global Customer Solutions and Services.
Racquel Oden, on the other hand, is the chair of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Board and HSBC U.S. Head of International Wealth, Asset Management & Global Private Banking. Her impressive career spans across various sectors, including finance, demonstrating her versatility and adaptability in the business world.
In the healthcare sector, Montgomery Rice made history as the first female leader of the historically Black medical institution, Morehouse School of Medicine, in 2014. She also founded the Center for Women's Health Research at Meharry Medical College.
Robin Washington, President and Chief Operating Officer at Salesforce, oversees key areas including business strategy, global finance, employee success, and marketing. She has been on Salesforce's board since 2013 and also serves on the board of directors of Alphabet.
Yvonne Greenstreet, a former OB-GYN in London, spent 18 years at GlaxoSmithKline, rising to Senior Vice President and Chief of Strategy for Research and Development. She also held positions at Pfizer and Medicines Development, where she led the division as Senior Vice President from 2011 to 2013. Greenstreet's impressive career also includes numerous honours, including the Horatio Alger Award, the Dean Griffin Community Service Award from the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Girls Inc. Smart Award, and the National Medical Association's OB/GYN 2019 Legend of the Section Award.
In 2022, Alicia Boler Davis was named CEO of Alto, a digital pharmacy that operates nationwide mail delivery, courier, and pickup services in 12 metropolitan areas. The company was recently acquired by Paulus Holdings in a deal that valued the pharmaceutical company between $1 billion - $1.5 billion.
