Leipzig Workshop Aims to Equip Participants with Tools to Counter Right-Wing Extremism
A training session focused on understanding and countering right-wing extremism is set to take place in Leipzig. The event, titled 'Confronting Right-Wing Extremism Ideology: Strategies for Dealing with Right-Wing Slogans', will explore the ideology, symbolism, and current manifestations of right-wing extremism.
The training will be held at Haus Steinstraße e.V. on Thursday, 23.10, from 2 PM to 6 PM. It is a collaborative effort between Haus Steinstraße e.V. and Erich-Zeigner-Haus e.V. Participants, aged 16 and above, will learn strategies to argue effectively against right-wing slogans using everyday examples. Registration is open via email at [email protected].
The training is timely, given the increasing traction of right-wing populist and extreme-right positions in debates about migration, freedom of speech, and political participation. These views are spreading rapidly through social media, making it crucial to equip individuals with the tools to counter them.
The 'Auseinandersetzung mit der Rechtsextremismus-Ideologie' training offers a practical approach to understanding and combating right-wing extremism. By developing strategies to argue against right-wing slogans, participants will be better equipped to engage in these important debates. The event is open to all aged 16 and above, encouraging a broad range of perspectives.
