Landshut Students Explore Industries in 'Jobtour'
During the first week of summer holidays, ten students from Landshut's middle and secondary schools embarked on an educational journey called 'Jobtour'. The programme offered them insights into various industries and practical skills.
The tour began at SPIE SAG in Ergolding. Here, students gained hands-on experience with electrical installations and soldering processes. They had the chance to try out different materials and tools. The tour then moved to Schott AG in Landshut, where the focus was on glass technology. Students learned about assembling, soldering, 3D printing, and galvanic gold plating.
At Feistl Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology GmbH & Co. KG, the young participants explored different business areas and delved into the company's history. The tour concluded with a visit to Ergomar in Ergolding, where students were introduced to bathing water technology and sauna technology, and visited various departments.
The 'Jobtour' programme ended with a 'Parts Assembly' workshop and a construction site visit, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the industries they explored. Six girls and four boys benefited from this practical learning experience.
