Join Customs Officer Information Day in Augsburg on July 19, 2025
On July 19, 2025, those interested in becoming customs officers can gain insights into the profession at an information day organized by the Hauptzollamt Augsburg. The event, led by the office's head Hans-Henning Kühne, will provide personal impressions and details about the role.
The FKS of the customs administration conducts regular focus inspections, both nationwide and regionally, with increased personnel. Last week, officers from the FKS inspected nearly 30 taxi and rental car companies in the greater Augsburg and Ingolstadt area.
The inspections focused on ensuring compliance with the statutory minimum wage and social security obligations. Around 50 people were interviewed about their employment relationships. While 18 cases require further examination, the customs officers have initiated administrative fine procedures and criminal proceedings where necessary.
