Interzoo 2026 Returns with Big Boost for Pet Industry Start-ups

Interzoo 2026, the world's leading pet industry fair, returns to Nuremberg, Germany, from May 12-15, 2026. This edition promises a wealth of opportunities for start-ups and emerging companies, with a range of support programs and initiatives.

The event boasts three key initiatives for new market entrants. The Fresh Ideas Stage will host short presentations from emerging companies, showcasing their innovative concepts, products, and services. The Young Innovators scheme, subsidized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, will support approximately 30 German start-ups. This program is open to companies founded within the last 10 years, with headquarters and operations in Germany, and meeting EU criteria for small companies.

Additionally, the International Start-up Area offers a service package for companies headquartered outside Germany. This includes pavilion stand space and marketing services, providing a platform for global start-ups to exhibit their products and services. While specific foreign participants are yet to be announced, the area aims to attract a diverse range of international companies. In the previous edition, 77 start-ups participated in these dedicated programs.

Interzoo 2026 expects around 2,150 exhibitors and 37,000 trade visitors from 140 countries. The Fresh Ideas Contest will also take place on Friday during the event, further enriching the experience for start-ups and visitors alike.
