In the vibrant city of Hannover, a unique project is underway to enrich early childhood education and promote intercultural exchange. The second cycle of the 'Hola Kita!' project is currently focused on daycare centers in Garbsen, with the participation of AWO Social Services District Hannover gGmbH, Catholic Family Centers Garbsen, DRK Children and Youth Services in the Region Hannover gGmbH, Caritas Hannover, and the city administration.

The project, a continuation of a successful initiative, aims to attract more qualified specialists for daycare centers and sustainably strengthen early childhood education. Two host families are currently being sought for the AWO daycare center Kleegrund, Catholic Family Center St. Anna, with the initial meeting scheduled for September 24, 2025.

The Spanish graduates involved in the project are graduates of the Spanish degree program 'Grado en Educación Infantil'. They are coming to Garbsen to gain practical experience and prepare for recognition as state-certified educators in Germany. Host families play a crucial role in this endeavour, providing a warm welcome to these new colleagues and enriching their own family life through exciting encounters.

Mayor Claudio Provenzano emphasizes the importance of the project for family-friendliness, education, and equal opportunities in the city. The municipalities of Laatzen and Isernhagen are also involved in the project, ensuring a wide-reaching impact.

As part of the project, two families are needed starting November 2025 for the AWO Kindergarten Kleegrund and February 2026 for the Catholic Family Center St. Anna. If you are interested in hosting a Spanish professional and contributing to this exciting initiative, please consider joining the project.

The second project cycle of 'Hola Kita!' is not just about providing temporary accommodation; it's about fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging intercultural exchange, and strengthening early childhood education in Hannover. So, if you're ready to make a difference and create lasting memories, become a host family today!
