Indian Companies Adapt and Innovate in Response to COVID-19 Crisis
The COVID-19 pandemic, declared by the World Health Organization in early 2020, has led Indian companies to adapt and innovate. With over 1965 cases and 50 deaths as of 2 April 2020, businesses are stepping up to combat the crisis.
Many enterprises are enhancing employee skills through digital training platforms and facilitating remote work. Meanwhile, healthcare tech companies have issued health advisories to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
In response to the crisis, some companies are prioritizing the supply of Ethyl Alcohol and ENA for sanitizer production and spreading awareness. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) member companies are contributing to government funds and relief efforts to tackle the humanitarian aspect. A dynamic grand challenge has been initiated to solve med-tech challenges related to ventilators and PPE solutions.
As the pandemic continues, Indian companies are demonstrating resilience and commitment. They are not only ensuring business continuity but also contributing to the fight against COVID-19, from enhancing employee skills to addressing medical technology challenges and supporting relief efforts.
