Guidance for Career Development in Youth
The Employment Promotion Association (AGiL) is seeking volunteers for their career mentoring project in the Kassel Region. This project, funded by the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration, aims to support young people, particularly those with migration or refugee backgrounds, in their transition from school to work.
The demand for mentors is high, and the career mentoring project is actively seeking more life and work-experienced volunteers from the city and region. Mentors play a crucial role in providing assistance with career orientation, writing applications, finding internship and training places, and preparing for job interviews.
As a mentor, you would be integrated into a well-organized and professionally supervised network. AGiL, as the project's sponsor, offers regular meetings for experience exchange, social gatherings, and training to support volunteers in their work. Mentors also receive a reimbursement for their expenses.
In addition to individual support and mentoring, mentors also train young people in cooperation with schools to prepare them for job interviews. The Max-Eyth-Schule Kassel is seeking additional voluntary career mentors with professional experience to support young people in their career orientation in the Kassel region.
Mentoring often continues even after a training position has been secured, making it a rewarding and ongoing commitment. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Brigitte Vogler at Tel.: 0561−1003 1275 or email: [email protected] for more information.
