The Princeton University blog is set to return on October 9, 2021, with a fresh lineup of correspondents. Among the returning faces are Alexis Wu '25, Rebecca Cho '26, and Yubi Mamiya '27.
Alexis Wu, a Computer Science concentrator from San Diego, California, has research interests spanning Applications of Computing, Machine Learning, Computer Systems, Public Policy, Game Theory, Ethics, and Art History. Alexis will continue her role as an Engineering Correspondent for the blog.
Yubi Mamiya, an Engineering Correspondent hailing from Shoreline, WA, is also enrolled in Engineering Biology and Global Health and Health Policy certificate programs. Her research interests are wide-ranging, encompassing Artificial Intelligence, Neurotechnology, Disease and Disorders, Mental Health, Reproductive Justice, Healthcare, Educational Equity, Sustainability, Music and Art in Social Movements, and more. Yubi's passion for these subjects is evident in her involvement with Saturday Morning Arts, Princeton Running Club, and her love for reading.
Rebecca Cho, a fellow Computer Science concentrator, brings her research interests in biogeochemistry, climate science, reconstruction modeling, and environmental science to the table. Her contributions to the blog will undoubtedly offer insightful perspectives on these topics.
Joining the Princeton blog team for the first time are five new correspondents: Angel Toasakul '27, Stanley Stoutamire '27, Nathan Nguyen '27, Advik Eswaran '27, and Ignacio Arias Philippi '25.
Angel Toasakul, a Neuroscience concentrator, holds certificate programs in Planets and Life, and Cognitive Science. Her research interests lie in Neuroscience, Memory, Cognitive Science, Neurochemistry, Neurobiology, and Healthcare.
Stanley Stoutamire, a Social Sciences Correspondent, is pursuing an A.B. degree. His research interests are yet to be revealed, but we eagerly anticipate his contributions to the blog.
Nathan Nguyen, an Engineering Correspondent, is a B.S.E. student with research interests in Bioengineering, Biomolecular Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Renewable Energy, Machine Learning and AI. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys upcycling and thrifting clothes, and hiking with friends.
Advik Eswaran's research interests include glaciology, paleoclimate, climate science, machine learning, and Earth history. As a correspondent, his insights into these areas are sure to enrich the Princeton blog.
Ignacio Arias Philippi's research interests span legal history, German language and culture, polyliteracy, and paleography. His unique perspective will undoubtedly offer a diverse and engaging voice to the blog.
Virginia Cobbs, who will return as Chief Correspondent, boasts research interests in racism in healthcare, tech mediated bias in criminal justice, bumble bee social behavior, and Parkinson's Disease. Her expertise and passion for these topics promise to lead the Princeton blog to new heights.
