Pforzheim University Graduates Find Opportunities in Local Job Market

On Friday, approximately 496 graduates from Pforzheim University celebrated the completion of their studies at the LAUDATIO graduation ceremony. The event, which took place at the CongressCentrum Pforzheim (CCP), was moderated by Professor Dr. Markus-Oliver Schwaab and Professor Dr.-Ing. Henning Hinderer.

The graduates, who were from bachelor and master programs in the Faculties of Technology, Economy, and Law, received an exclusive pin with the university logo, a token that is not available for purchase. During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ulrich Jautz, Rector of Pforzheim University, welcomed around 1500 guests.

As the graduates embark on their careers, they can find promising opportunities in the North Black Forest, Kraichgau, and Enz region. The university's strong connections with industry and the region's economic profile make it an ideal choice for students seeking a career in engineering, business management, industrial manufacturing, logistics, and technical sales.

Pforzheim University graduates benefit from good networking with companies in the region, which facilitates successful transitions into employment. The university offers degrees in fields such as Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering and Management, and Design, fitting the local industry's needs.

One such company is Witzenmann, a global family business that offers internships, student trainee positions, and thesis collaboration opportunities for students and graduates. This points to potential career paths in manufacturing, engineering, and management roles within the local industrial sector.

The industries in and around Pforzheim and the North Black Forest region are typically related to industrial engineering, mechanical manufacturing, logistics, production and controlling, technical sales, and design — fields covered by the university's degree programs. Nearby larger economic centers like Karlsruhe offer a variety of positions in research, development, administration, and academic roles, providing further career opportunities for graduates willing to commute or relocate nearby.

In his festive speech, Dr.-Ing. Rainer Draht, Professor of Mechatronic System Development at Pforzheim University, encouraged graduates to cultivate the skills they have acquired during their studies, emphasizing the importance of education, decorum, and humor as the "magic keys" to their future. The evening concluded with a relaxed champagne reception.

Graduates were individually congratulated by the deans of the Faculties of Technology and Economy and Law, Professor Dr. Matthias Weyer, and Professor Dr. Thomas Cleff, respectively. The event was musically accompanied by the band "Miss Kavila", and while it was archived on the university's website, the phone and contact information, as well as date information, may no longer be current.

With around 6,000 students currently enrolled at Pforzheim University, the institution continues to play a vital role in preparing graduates for the job market and contributing to the local economy.
