Graduates from the Career Program in July and August 2022
In a recent graduation ceremony, a group of talented individuals celebrated the completion of their vocational certificate programmes at Palm Beach State College. Among the graduates were Jerald Troutman, who finished the Multimedia Arts Professional Certificate, and Katerina Tsantili, Berlyn Holman, Hunter Richling, and Ying Liu, who each earned Advanced or Professional Certificates in Graphic Design.
The graduates were also joined by Danielle Ford, Melissa Antonowich, Jeanne Gonzalez, Sadie Rabago, and Ekaterina Isaac, who completed certificates in Digital Arts, Marketing Design, and Fine Arts. Each graduate was warmly congratulated for their hard work and dedication.
The Vocational Certificate Programs at Palm Beach State College require applicants to meet specific prerequisites, such as a high school diploma or GED, passing a Test of Adult Basic Education, and accumulating points based on completed coursework. Examples of coursework that can earn points in the admission process include Anatomy and Physiology lectures and labs, and college success strategy courses.
Applicants must first satisfy the baseline educational requirements, then apply through a points system that emphasizes relevant coursework. There is no minimum point threshold; however, higher points increase the chances of admission. Attending an information session or consulting an Academic Advisor for assistance is also encouraged.
Similar admissions components are found in other institutions, such as the Nevada Career Institute, Indian River State College, and North-West College, which require interviews, skills assessment, proof of high school equivalency, and English proficiency.
C.S. Lewis once said, "There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind," and these graduates are certainly venturing forth into their creative careers with bright futures ahead.
