Goa Launches Accelerator Program to Boost Local Startups
Goa's IT Minister, Rohan A. Khaunte, has unveiled the Goa Startup Accelerator Program. This five-month initiative, led by the Startup and IT Promotion Cell under the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), aims to nurture and scale local startups. It's part of the government's broader strategy to foster innovation and create jobs.
The program will select 30 high-potential startups, including 25 registered in Goa and 5 operating in the state but not yet registered. Participants will gain access to masterclasses, one-on-one mentorship, and culminate in a Demo Day for pitching to investors and corporates. The mentorship tracks cover product development, technology, business development, market access, and fundraising.
The Accelerator will feature a dashboard for real-time progress tracking, mentor engagement, and outcome measurement. It aims to unify Goa's startup ecosystem through a central platform for visibility and engagement. The program's goal is to build a connected, visible, and outcome-driven startup ecosystem in Goa. The tender for the event management agency leading the program was active from September 30 to October 7, 2025, and the initiative is expected to begin shortly after this period.
