A high-level German delegation, led by Anke Rehlinger, President of the Bundesrat, visited the Kazakh-German Center in Astana on May 29th. The visit focused on strengthening ties and discussing key projects, including the Kazakh-German School.

The delegation, which included Anke Rehlinger, held talks with top Kazakh officials such as President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov, and parliamentary chairs. They discussed a range of political and economic issues, as well as future joint projects and interstate support.

A key focus of the visit was the Kazakh-German School project in Astana. The delegation addressed issues of cooperation and financing, with no current information available about the donors for this project. Despite this, the director of the 'Rebirth' foundation, Dmitry Redler, noted Germany's interest in supporting the initiative.

This was evident during a tour of the Kazakh-German Center, where discussions covered the history of Germans in Kazakhstan, their deportation, and their current situation. The work of the Kazakh-German Center, including youth policy, language, social, and cultural components, was also a significant part of the discussions. The Kazakh-German School project in Astana was a key focus, with both sides expressing interest in its success.
