Event schedule for IMS Ibiza, featuring the IMS College Takeover, announced by the school.
IMS Ibiza, the International Music Summit, returns from April 27-29, 2022, bringing a line-up of events and workshops for music enthusiasts and professionals alike. This year, the school is partnering with Beatport and Microsoft Surface to offer an array of sessions, including production masterclasses and workshops.
On Friday, 29th April, Prospa, a renowned DJ/Producer Duo, will lead a production masterclass from 15:00 - 15:45. The session will include a track breakdown of their hit, 'Ecstasy'. Meanwhile, Thomas Irwin, affiliated with Dharma, Spinnin, and Sony, will lead a workshop on combining organic sounds with electronic music from 16:00 - 16:45.
If you're interested in creating instruments with sampling and processing, Anna Lakatos, a lecturer and Ableton Certified Trainer at the school, has you covered. Her workshop will take place on Wednesday from 13:00 - 13:45. Andres Bretel, another lecturer at the school, will lead a workshop on committing to a sound and creating difference in a world where everyone uses the same tools. His session, which is Ableton Live-centric, will take place on Friday from 12:00 - 12:45.
For those interested in FL Studio, Blanka Nova will conduct a workshop on using organic sounds to bridge genres and add depth to mixes. This FL Studio session will feature Pioneer DJ Equipment and Rekordbox 6 and will take place on Friday from 14:00 - 15:45. Blanka Nova, a vocalist DJ and lecturer at the school, will also lead a workshop on preparing and performing a live session with vocals for DJs and Singers.
Beatport and Microsoft Surface will bring their Originals2 platform to IMS on April 28, hosting artist-led workshops and masterclasses. More details about these sessions can be found on their respective websites.
