Paratus Eswatini Launches to Expand Digital Connectivity Across Eswatini

Paratus Eswatini, a joint venture between Paratus Group and local company Real Image Internet, officially launched on July 25, 2025, with a strong focus on expanding digital inclusion and connectivity across Eswatini. This partnership aims to overcome the country's challenging terrain that limits traditional fibre rollout by deploying affordable, rapid, and reliable satellite internet to rural and underserved areas.

The event marked the formal commencement of operations and reaffirmed the commitment to delivering robust, scalable connectivity that will serve businesses, government, schools, clinics, and communities nationwide. Paratus Eswatini is leveraging SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet initially, targeting rapid digital inclusion where fibre infrastructure is impractical. This represents Eswatini’s first major deployment of LEO satellite broadband.

Paratus Eswatini is offering fully managed Starlink solutions, including hardware, installation, 24/7 local support, and warranty management. The services are designed to meet the growing demands of Eswatini's digital economy and promote inclusive access to digital tools and services.

Ali Resting, the Managing Director of Paratus Eswatini, and Schalk Erasmus, the Group CEO of Paratus, outlined plans for creating digital inclusion in Eswatini at the official launch. Erasmus expressed pride in what Paratus Eswatini has achieved in the last few months and excitement for a brighter future for the people and communities of Eswatini.

Paratus Eswatini has already completed numerous installations across rural homesteads and towns in Eswatini. As an authorized Starlink Business reseller, the venture is strategically positioned to meet the evolving needs of businesses, government, and communities due to the continental reach and technological expertise of Paratus Group.

Beyond Starlink, there is intent to explore additional LEO satellite providers such as Amazon’s Kuiper and OneWeb to diversify and scale affordable internet solutions across the country. Paratus Eswatini has demonstrated early steps to improve educational digital access and support community upliftment through connectivity, donating 4 Starlink kits to schools.

Paratus Eswatini is also actively rolling out Paratus EduLINK, a dedicated Starlink-powered connectivity solution for schools in underserved areas, offering 2TB of priority data per month for online education. The joint venture is strengthening its ability to deliver robust, scalable connectivity across Eswatini through its partnership with the Paratus Group, a game-changer for securing future digital inclusion in Eswatini.
