Empowering Youth Over 19 Years: Orange Egypt's Commitment through Enactus Sponsorship
Orange Egypt's 19-year sponsorship of the Enactus Egypt National Competition has once again proven to be a catalyst for success, as Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) emerged victorious in the 2025 event.
The competition, held this year, saw over 30 teams from universities across Egypt vying for the top spot. MUST's winning project, titled "Bokra", offers an innovative solution to agricultural and health challenges. The project rehabilitates degraded land and uses the Salicornia plant as a healthy nutritious salt alternative.
This win marks a significant milestone for MUST, as they will now represent Egypt at the Enactus World Cup 2025 in Thailand. Fatma Serry, CEO of Enactus Egypt, congratulated MUST and expressed her pride in the long-standing partnership with Orange Egypt. She also mentioned that Egyptian universities have already won the Enactus World Cup seven times, including five consecutive wins, and expressed hope that 2025 will mark their eighth global title.
Hisham Mahran, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, also extended his congratulations to MUST and all participating universities. He praised the exceptional quality and innovation showcased throughout the competition. Mahran stated that the event once again highlights Orange's vital and ongoing role in empowering youth and fostering innovation across Egypt.
Orange Egypt hosted a dedicated booth for Orange Digital Center (ODC) during the competition, offering an immersive experience into ODC's programs in digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup empowerment. Orange Egypt also participated in the second edition of the Enactus Career Summit to connect with emerging talent and showcase career opportunities.
