Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Reveals Grantees for 2025 Community Fund
In a recent announcement, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) and the community fund have selected a new cohort of local nonprofit partners for support. The CZI, founded in 2015, focuses on solving society's toughest challenges, including eradicating disease and improving education. The community fund, on the other hand, supports initiatives that provide vital services and strengthen community voice.
This year's grantees will receive two-year grants of up to $200,000. The CZI, through its mission to build a better future for everyone, has supported various organizations, including Open Life Science (OLS) with a grant totaling approximately USD 574,945.30 awarded starting January 2022 for sustainability and future planning.
Alma Pulido, who leads the community fund, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with the new grantees. She noted that the grantees' dedication, creativity, and resilience inspire the community fund. The grantees focus their efforts on housing, healthcare, education, job and career skills, and other social supports.
The community fund, which supports organizations working in San Mateo County, California, has invested more than $34 million in over 200 local organizations since 2017. The Fund is committed to ensuring the grantees have the flexible support needed to continue driving meaningful change in their communities.
