Buryatia's Baikal College Unveils Modern Workshops for Future Industry Skills
In 2023, the Ministry of Education and Science of Buryatia began supporting the creation of modern workshops in educational institutions. These workshops, part of a project to develop future human capital in the region, were opened at the Baikal College of Subsoil Use in Ulan-Ude. The Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, along with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, also backed these initiatives.
The new workshops, 'Reversible Engineering' and 'Mining', serve as innovative classrooms and platforms for students to acquire practical skills. They aim to prepare students for real-world industry work. The Baikal College of Subsoil Use, under the leadership of its director, has successfully implemented these workshops. The project aligns with the regional government's goal of fostering a skilled workforce for the future.
The opening of these modern workshops at the Baikal College of Subsoil Use in Ulan-Ude marks a significant step in Buryatia's efforts to develop its human capital. With support from various ministries and corporations, these workshops are expected to equip students with valuable practical skills, better preparing them for careers in industry.
