Book Fair 2025: 'People instead of percentages' Event Spotlights Global Issues

The annual book fair is set to open on October 15, bringing with it a wealth of new publications and engaging events. One such event, 'People instead of percentages', is scheduled for October 19, 2025, featuring Matthias Meis, Stefanie Baldauf, and a student. They will discuss global issues using the 'global village of 100 people' concept in Hall 3.1 D 12 from 12 to 12:45 PM.

The event is part of a series of publications exploring global demographics and living conditions. 'The global village of 100 people' uses clear graphics to illustrate these topics, while 'Who, where, how many?' provides strategic demographic data for German communities until 2040. Another publication, 'From work to coexistence', delves into refugee integration in communities. The Bertelsmann Foundation Publishing House, which has published over 1,300 titles since 1985, is behind these insightful works. Additionally, a booth in Hall 3.1 D 58 is available for personal visits.

'Learning from the perspective of children' is another notable publication. It presents findings on motivating and hindering factors in learning processes, offering a unique insight into children's experiences.

The book fair promises a wealth of knowledge and engaging discussions. 'People instead of percentages' is just one of many events and publications that aim to shed light on global issues and community dynamics. Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of topics and insights.
