Bankers Gearing Up for Training, Commencing on 1st August 2026
The Savings Bank offers a comprehensive 2.5 to 3-year training programme for aspiring bankers. This training is designed to prepare individuals to work independently with customers, covering a wide range of topics from account management to sales management.
During the training, trainees will attend vocational school lessons as block lessons, approximately 6 weeks per training semester. These lessons will equip them with the necessary skills to excel in their future roles.
The training is not solely based on school grades, but rather places a greater emphasis on personality. Trainees are expected to possess a sense for the wishes and needs of people, be friendly and confident, communicative and creative, value teamwork, be motivated to work purposefully and independently, be reliable, and be self-driven in shaping their training success.
The training allowance starts at 1,368 EUR gross in the first year and increases to 1,464 EUR in the last year. Additionally, the company offers a pension scheme in the amount of 40 EUR.
Trainees will also benefit from opportunities for further training, including specialist seminars, e-learning, sales training, and part-time study. Upon successful completion of the training, a bonus of 400 EUR is awarded.
The training schedule includes 30 days of vacation, plus 2 additional days for the final exam, and Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are also free. After the general training, further development and specialization begin in the desired area of work.
High school graduates will complete the training in 2.5 years, while those with extended secondary school education will complete it in 3 years. Prior knowledge of economics and finance is beneficial but not mandatory.
For inquiries about the training, you can contact Martina Rokitta at 0 41 41 / 490-537 or via email at [email protected]. While the name of the person holding the position as trainer at the Sparkasse is not specified, contact persons for training inquiries such as Julia Theiling for Sparkasse Osnabrück or Silva Liebe for Kreissparkasse Börde are available.
Lastly, the trainee should see themselves as a networker and feel at home in the digital world, as these skills are essential for success in the banking industry. Successful completion of the training increases the chances of being taken on by the Savings Bank.
