B-Trust Awards $1M in Grants to Decentralize Bitcoin Development

B-Trust, a non-profit, has launched its 2025 Event and Developer Education Grants, allocating over $1 million. The initiative aims to decentralize Bitcoin development and empower open-source developers in underrepresented regions.

B-Trust's mission is to reduce barriers for Bitcoin developers, supporting open-source values. This year's grants focus on education and community events.

Four developer education programs received funding: Summer of Bitcoin, Vinteum, Developer Education Program Long-Term Support (LTS), and B4OS. Vinteum, based in Brazil, offers Bitcoin seminars, a 12-week Dev Launchpad, and a 6-month Fellowship Program. B4OS, a collaboration between Bitshala and Librería de Satoshi, received Long-Term Support (LTS) funding for sustainable growth.

Six community-focused grants were awarded for events and conferences in underrepresented regions. The 2025 grants program seeks to create an inclusive, decentralized, and community-driven Bitcoin development ecosystem.
