AGiL's Mentorship Project Seeks Volunteers to Bridge School-to-Work Gap for Young People

AGiL employment promotion agency's mentorship project, funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, is seeking volunteers to support young people, often with migration or refugee backgrounds, in their transition from school to work. Brigitte Vogler, the project coordinator, can be reached at 0561−1003 1275 or via email at [email protected].

The project offers volunteer mentors the opportunity to provide career orientation, application writing, internship and apprenticeship search, and interview preparation. Mentors receive compensation for their expenses and can continue supporting mentees even after they start an apprenticeship. AGiL offers regular meetings, networking events, and training to support the volunteers. The project also offers regular training for students in cooperation with schools. The demand for mentors is high, and the project seeks more experienced volunteers from the city and our organization. The current professional sponsorship partners in the city of Kassel are not publicly available.

AGiL's mentorship project aims to bridge the gap between school and work for young people, particularly those from migrant or refugee backgrounds. By offering comprehensive support and training for volunteers, the project encourages more experienced individuals from the city and our organization to join as mentors.
