AGiL's Kassel Mentoring Project Seeks Volunteers to Support Young People
The professional mentoring project of AGiL is seeking volunteers in the city and region of Kassel. Brigitte Vogler, the project coordinator, can be reached at 0561-1003 1275 or via email at [email protected]. Volunteers support young people, often with migration or refugee backgrounds, in their transition from school to work.
The project offers regular meetings, experience exchange, get-togethers, and further training for volunteers. They are integrated into a well-organized and professionally supervised network and receive expense compensation. Over 10 years, around 50 volunteers have been helping with career orientation, applications, internships, and job interview preparation. The project is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration. Mentoring often continues even after the young person starts an apprenticeship.
