Africa's Tech Innovators Honoured at Nairobi Forum

The TechTrends AI-Powered Business Transformation Forum in Nairobi recently concluded with a prestigious awards ceremony, honouring innovators in the tech industry. The event, attended by key players from UNEP, the World Bank, Safaricom, and local environmental NGOs, highlighted Africa's digital future already in motion.

Essential Accessories took home the E-Commerce Innovation in Mobile Technology Award for revolutionizing mobile device personalization and monetization. Meanwhile, Lawyers Hub was recognised with the AI Policy and Governance Award for its significant contributions to shaping Africa's AI legal frameworks.

The GreenShift Sustainability Forum, held in Nairobi in November 2025, brought together influential figures from various sectors, demonstrating the growing commitment to sustainable practices. In the hardware realm, iTel swept three major awards for its itel SUPER 26 Ultra, including the Innovation Award, Digital Inclusion Award, and Curved Display Excellence Award. Samsung also received an accolade for its Connected Ecosystem Leadership, acknowledging its seamless multi-device interoperability. Sama AI was honoured with the AI Data Excellence Award for its responsible approach to AI infrastructure, built on verified, consent-based data pipelines.
