Fired-Up Festivities:

The Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, rocked the Al-Awqaf Auditorium in Reggae with their Annual Students' Felicitation & Career Guidance Bash on May 30, 2025. This shindig celebrated the academic prowess of Indian students excelling in Kuwait's 10th and 12th Grade Board Exams.

Year after year, IMA Kuwait carries the torch for academic greatness, educational empowerment, and career guidance for Kuwait's Indian expat youth. And let me tell you, folks didn't disappoint, as the event attracted a lively gathering of students, parents, educators, and bigwigs.

The party kicked off at 4:45 PM with some student verification, followed by a formal welcome at 5:30 PM. The grand gathering was graced by terrific notables like school principals and proud families.

The keynote address was all about the future, delivered by Mr. Faizy Rahman, Centre In-Charge at New Delhi's Centre for Training and Academic Guidance (CTAG). He dropped knowledge about transforming education systems, global career paths, and smart decision-making strategies for students transitioning to higher education. The insights blew the minds of students and parents, alike!

Next up, Fr. James Tuscano, Principal of Don Bosco (IEAS) School and Guest of Honor, took the stage with a heartfelt and inspiring pep talk. He emphasized the gigantic role students will play in shaping the future and paid tribute to the heroic efforts of parents and teachers, calling particular attention to the unsung strength and dedication of mothers. His emotional words struck a chord with the audience, reminding students of the essence of education – empowerment, gratitude, and purpose.

Mr. Mohammad Ali, Coordinator of the Community Department from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, also dropped by and commended the students for their achievements. He heaped praise on IMA's continued commitment to nurturing academic and moral excellence in youth.

The highlight of the evening was the Felicitation Ceremony, where 160 zesty students received well-deserved recognition. These grade-A students secured their spots through a grueling evaluation process, with 85% as the minimum threshold for being considered. Their hard-earned results were verified through online mark sheets during the registration process.

Each accomplishment-star was awarded a Certificate of Excellence and a Medal of Appreciation, presented by the event's distinguished guests. To top it off, the Top 10 students in both Grade X and Grade XII categories earned special commemorative mementos for their spectacular accomplishments.

The prestigious "Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Student of the Year" awards went to:

  • Aniruddh Vimal Shivan (Grade X, ICSK Senior School) – 98.6%
  • Anam Anwar Kazi (Grade XII, ICSK Senior School) – 98.4%

Their victories echoed throughout the crowd, and the display of emotion on the faces of students and their families highlighted the importance of this recognition.

Mr. Mohammad Umar, President of IMA Kuwait, bestowed mementos upon the guests of honor and thanked all school principals and parents for their support and participation. He congratulated every award recipient and commended the Organizing Committee, led by Mr. Riyaz Ahmad, for their relentless hard work in putting together an incredible event.

The event commenced with the Recitation and Translation of the Holy Quran by Master Abdullah Ahmed and was expertly moderated by Mr. Parwez Hanif.
